Life's A Beach Papers

lifes-a-beach-12-x-12-layout-001

Today I created the layout above. It is based on Cheryl Devlin's (2H)Workshop - Cheeky 12 x 12 Layout. With the release of the new products there have also been some product deletions. Therefore, all Workshops which use any deleted products have also been discontinued. Cheryl's Cheeky Layout was one of these. I created a new version of her workshop with the NEW Life's a Beach papers. The papers are beautiful & bright, & look great on the Raven Bazzill.

If you would like to host a Demo or Workshop please contact me. Kaszazz have great Monthly Promotions for Hosts. Contact me if you would like to know more.

Blog War Day 2 - Shrinky Dinks

to-be-grouped-211208-002

This Christmas Tree I made out of Shrinky Dinks last year. I punched holes in the plastic before heating it, once shrunk I tied the pieces together with white organza ribbon. I placed it on a silver necklace for a great Christmas Pendant.

Blog War Day 1 - Shrinky Dinks

This weeks (PoW) Product of the week is SHRINKY DINKS!! This would have to be the most pobular Kaszazz Product with my kids. As soon as I get it out they are there!! They started creating last night, so I will post their creations once they have finished.

Shrinky Dinks are sheets of Frosted Ruff 'n' Ready plastic. This amazing plastic transforms by becoming 9 times thicker & 1/3 of its original size when heated! Before you heat it you can punch holes in your shaped plastic to use your creations as charms & embellishments.

Adult supervision is recommended when heating, & with adult help children just love watching their creations morph!!

My card below, I created three button styled embellishments with the Shrinky Dink plastic. I stamped our new Hibiscus Trio stamp onto the plastic with Ancient Page Coal Black, then edged with Blue Lagoon Fluid Chalk. Carefully I punched out the circles with the Whale Circle Punch, as the ink was still wet. Ink will take a while to dry on the plastic. I then heated the circles on at a time, in a heat proof container with my heat gun. You will find as you heat the plastic it will fold up, but will then lay out flat again. I have adhered the buttons to the card with Glossy Accents.

Chalking Frame Card

cards-0021

Last Wednesday night I attended our Monthly Southern Stars Team Meeting run by my Team Leader Cheryl Devlin. We created this lovely Chalking Frame Card. It was so easy!!!

Codes for the stamps used above are as follows:

915LG     Butterfly Medium
4129KO   Treasured Memories (Set of 7) (vine image)
4177KK   Mini Messages Endearments (set of 9)

Pop on over to Cheryl's Blog (link to right of screen) for the full instructions to create this card, plus she has another example card.

I was a little silly & stamped my white card upside down. So I trimmed it & adhered it to a Gloss Black Card. This is a terrific card for beginners. Imperfection is perfection!!!

Mini Misters

You can find our Mini Misters on page 60 of the NEW Kaszazz Catalogue & Project Book. Mini Misters are a mini spray bottle to spritz any liquid ink & create unique spray effects on your projects.

The Mini Misters come in a pack of 3 priced at $13.95. Kaszazz also have a Mini Mister Organiser which you can purchase. These store 12 Mini Misters conveniently, they stand upright & are then within easy reach. Keep 12 Mini Misters filled with your favourite colours.

Tips for using Mini Misters

  • Only use water based ink refills, the best are Vivid & Distress Ink Refills. Label the Mini Mister using our PermaBall black pen, noting what colour ink refill is inside. It is best not to change colours.

  • Do not fill Mini Misters with a Pigment Ink or Fluid Chalk refill, these will block up the Mini Mister!

  • Always have a Mini Mister filled with just water, they are handy to clean stamps with, as well as to spray your work area. Wipe it down with a paper towel. You can also spray a stamp after you have inked it up & stamp onto yor project to get a soft water coloured effect.

  • By adding a small amount of Perfect Pearls into the Mini Mister with a coloured ink refill you get a gorgeous shimmer when sprayed onto your project.

  • Keep Mini Misters away from children & always store them standing up.

  • Other ways to use Mini Misters is with our Pebbles Stencils, resist technique with clear embossing powder, or spray white 12 x 12 Bazzill to create your own background colour for a scrapbook page... the possibilites are endless!!!

'Blog War' Day 1 - Chalks & Weekly Comment Winner

Hi Everyone, this weeks (PoW) Product of the week is Chalks. I just love my Basic Brights Chalk Set, it is one of the first products I bought as a customer many years ago & I am still using it. They last for eva!!! Now as a Consultant, only a couple of months ago bought the Jewel Tones Pearlescent Chalk Set,  I will be using this set on my creations this week.

Each Chalking Set, comes in a sturdy tin case that will help protect your chalks from damage! Each set, (there are 5 colour combo's to choose from) come with 30 magnificent chalks, an applicator tool & reusable pom poms which make them fun & so easy to work with!

chalking-cards-001

Today I created a card, stamping the 1784LH Leaf around the edge of the cards with Perfect Medium. Re-inking each time. With a cotton ball I shaded over each leaf in an Autum Colour from the Pearlescent Chalk Set. The shimmer from these chalks look stunning, it doesn't show up well on the photo! I then stamped in Dark Brown & Warm Green Fluid Chalk the Bird, Branch & Heart from the Love & Cherish (8) stamp set & the leaves across the bottom right corner, from the Treasured Memories (7) stamp set. "Just because" is from Mini Messages Endearments (9) stamp Set. I tied a small bow with a piece of Rust Twill & frayed the ends on purpose. Adhered it to the card with Glossy Accents.

Thankyou to all who have left comments on my Blog or have e-mailed me! It is so nice to have everyone appreciate & be inspired by my creations. This is only my 4th month since setting up my blog & I am really enjoying it!!

This weeks comment winner is .............. MELISSA

Please e-mail me your postal details & my creations from last week will be on their way to you.

'Blog War' Day 5 - Paper Frenzy

paper-frenzy-card-5

SCRAPBOOKING - ALL BOY!

This is a great range for all the boys in your life! Today I used the papers from this range, cut out a skateboarder image & mounted it to the front of the card. I used the square punch & the Cute Letter Stamp Set (65). I used Admiral Bazzill measuring 10" x 5", to create a 5" x 5" card. You can view all the All Boy! Range on page 33 of the Kaszazz Catalogue & Project Book.

Wishing all the Mums who visit my blog, a wonderful & special Mothers Day on Sunday.

ENJOY YOUR DAY!!

'Blog War' Day 4 - Paper Frenzy

paper-frenzy-card-32

Today I have made the card with the Kaszazz Enchanted Scrapbooking Range. I have just realised, I  have made 3 cards this week with flowers & a baby card. I must sub-consciously have Mothers Day on my mind, it's just around the corner. Tomorrow I will try to think & create something without flowers.

The leaf I have stamped is the outline brushed leaf from the 2-Step  Stamps. I stamped with Prussian Blue Fluid Chalk, cut out (3) & adhered to card. Punched the whale & medium circles to create the flowers. I distressed the edges of the circles with an emery board & scissors. I used the Silent Setter to add a black eyelet to the centre of each flower. Added 'for someone special' from the Endearments Mini Messages (9), in black.

'Blog War' Day 3 - Paper Frenzy

paper-frenzy-card-2

Today I have made a Baby Congratulations Card with a mosaic technique I learnt at our Creative Getaway Camp 2008. Deb Hale (Kaszazz Consultant) ran a fantastic workshop, which included a card made with this technique. It is so easy & very effective.

I folded a piece of Pink card to form a C6 portrait card, from the Pastel Card Pack. I then trimmed and adhered a piece of white cardstock. Cut a piece of double sided sticky paper, removed one side of the sticky paper & adhered it to the white cardstock. Once adhered to the cardstock, I removed the other side of the sticky paper. I then cut small pieces of Pink Scatter from the Kaszazz Sentiments Scrapbooking Range. This is the most time consuming part of making the card, but so easy!!. Once the small pieces fill the area of the sticky paper, I then filled the gaps with Rainbow Glitter. Placed a small amount of glitter on the area & rubbed my finger over to enable the glitter to adhere to the sticky paper. I tapped any excess glitter off the card. I mounted the Pram, from the Sentiments Baby SB Cut Outs sheet & stamped Congratualtions from the Endearments Mini Messages Set (9), with black onto white & mounted onto Wisteria Bazzill.

Below are the cards I created at our Creative Getaway 2008.

'Blog War' Day 2 - Paper Frenzy

paper-frenzy-card-1

Today I have used our "Castaway" Scrapbooking Papers. I have covered the front of an Oatmeal Card with trimmed pieces of Frangipani/Crackle & Frangipani/Oceana SB Papers. I have stuck a saying from the Travel Vellum onto a piece of Bahama Bazzill with vellum tape. Cut out a frangipani, adhered a rhinestone & mounted onto the card. I then distressed around the edge of the card with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

The Castaway Range of Scrapbooking Papers are perfect papers for all your holiday photo's. Check out whole Castaway Range, including accessories, on page 28 of the Kaszazz Catalogue & Project Book.

'Blog War' Day 1 - Paper Frenzy & Weekly Comment Winner

paper-frenzy-card

This weeks 'Blog War' product of the week (PoW) is Paper Frenzy, a great chance to use up all my scraps. I started, planning to do a patchwork card, above is what it turned out to be. I have never made a patchwork card, so it is on my to do list this week. I pulled my right shoulder on Saturday night & spent all of yesterday in a sling. It's feeling better today so I managed to create at least one card.

Today I used "My Girl" SB Papers, yellow card from the Pastels Card Pack. Lemonade & Bubblegum Bazzill, white card, medium & whale Daisy Punches. Ice Stickles & "Just for you" from the Mini Messages (9) stamp set.

Congratulations...... Lauren....... you are my weekly comment winner!! Please e-mail me your postal details & my creations made with the Magic Stamp will be on their way to you.
